Project Description

40square is a recent-established member-owned cooperative that functions as a MEWA (a multiple employer welfare arrangement) which is a way for smaller companies (in this case Minnesota farmers) to offer employee benefits outside of the government-run health insurance exchanges by sharing risk.

Farmers have long had difficulty finding and keeping health insurance, as shown by the origins of another pounce client – Communicating for America – back in the 1970s.

When they quickly needed a Web presence for their first open enrollment, they were short on time and money and tapped into pounce’s expertise to ensure a quick launch with a professional and reassuring site.

You’ll find that clients related to agriculture, or in connecting self-employed people to affordable health insurance, runs deep in pounce’s DNA.
