✓ Black-tailed jackrabbit
You don't have to read fairy tales to learn about strange and interesting animals. The black-tailed jackrabbit is one such exotic "common" animal. Her large feet and powerful hind legs propel her away from predators, at a rate of up to 6 meters per hop. She places each of her young in a separate form. Her large ears help her stay cool during a hot summer. Speaking of summer, did you know this hare can swim?! (written & illustrated by Rickard)
